Background and Objectives
The much-anticipated reform of UK company law received Royal Assent on 8 November 2006, nearly ten years after the reform process began. The Companies Act 2006 represents the most significant and wide-ranging change to company law for over fifty years. Everyone engaged with managing and advising companies will need to become familiar with the details and likely impact of the new legislation.
ICSA has already run a number of breakfast seminars on Companies Act topics and will continue to do so. The next Companies Act Conference will be held on 24 June 2008. Slides and supporting material for these events can be found by clicking on the titles in the left hand menu.
